Before joining the Institute of Geometry at TU Graz I held postdoctoral and visitor positions at FU Berlin, York University, the Fields Institute, and the University of Vienna. I got my PhD in 2012 under the supervision of Günter Ziegler in the Discrete Geometry Group at FU Berlin. I fulfilled my habilitation at the University of Vienna in May, 2020, and my habilitation at TU Graz in June 2021.
