Daniel Ganellari (KFU, advisor G. Haase): Patient-specific cardiac parametrization from Eikonal simulations
Abstract: Patient specific simulations in cardiac electrophysiology require patient specific conductivity parameters which are not accurately available in vivo. One chance to improve the given conductivity parameters is to compare the computed activation sequence on the heart surface with the measured ECG. By minimizing the squared distance between the measured solution and the Eikonal computed solution we are able to determine the scaling parameters which may identify a heart ischemic tissue. The minimization problem is solved by the quasi-Newton method with BFGS update and the gradient is computed via automatic differentiation.[hide abstract]
