Abstract: The unfolding technique is used as one of powerful tools in a homogenization procedure. For periodic geometries, this technique is based on the unfolding operator and its left-inverse implying the averaging operator. In my talk I will present basic definitions and provide an insight into the structure and properties of these operators.
