Abstract: Tikhonov regularization is a fundamental technique in the solution of ill-posed inverse problems. It solves equations via an optimization problem consisting of a discrepancy term - measuring how well the equation is approximately solved - and an regularization penalty term for stability. In order to balance the two, a multiplicative weight onto the fidelity is introduced, and under suitable assumptions and choice of weight one expects to recover the true solution. We extend this method to the solution of systems of inverse problems, thus requiring multiple discrepancies and weights. We are concerned with behavior dependent on various data-corruption scenarios and investigate suitable weight choices.[hide abstract] | |
