Abstract: Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH) involves an increase in the mass and volume of the left ventricle of the heart, typically presenting as wall thickening or dilation. We isolate how these structural changes affect ECG waveforms, excluding electrophysiological alterations. Eccentric and concentric cardiac models with 10% to 100% mass increases were created using a kinematic growth approach, and 12-lead ECGs were simulated. Our results could improve LVH detection through ECG analysis, complementing clinical evaluation and imaging.[hide abstract] | |
